Sourav Ganguly to have one stand named after him in Eden Gardens

With the armed force giving the approval, the decks have been cleared for naming six Eden Gardens remains after prominent identities required with the diversion in the state including previous Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly and late cricket manager Jagmohan Dalmiya, a Cricket Relationship of Bengal authority said here on Thursday.

The four others stands will be initiated after ex cricketer Pankaj Roy and previous Taxi presidents B.N. Dutt, A.N. Ghosh and Snehasnshu Acharya.

Uncovering this, Taxi president Sourav Ganguly stated: "We got the authorization from the safeguard specialists today (Thursday). We will finish the work as ahead of schedule as could be expected under the circumstances".

The proposition had been passed in the Taxicab working council meeting a year ago.

In any case, with the armed force being the overseer of the Maidan, where the Eden Patio nurseries is found, its consent is compulsory before any such choices can be executed.
